Refreshments to the Cherry Tree Ward

We had a request from one of our group members Elizabeth Julius Tootell, for some help to provide refreshments and toiletries to the staff of Cherry Tree Ward at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, which she works on as a Health Care Assistant. We partnered with our Muslim Community Group (HMCA), who are always more than happy to help the community, to put together a box of donations requested. Thanks to some generous donations we have been able to put together a box of 100 toothbrushes with toothpaste, 250 shampoo bottles, 50 conditioner bottles, 250 bottles of shower gel, 50 bottles of body lotion and 150 bars of soap as well as a donation of tea, milk, sugar, juice and biscuits. We would like to pay special thanks to Salma Hayat for always supporting her community group in all charity projects set up, without generous people like her projects like this wouldn’t be a success. We are so proud of all of our NHS staff and key workers for all they are doing in these unprecedented times and we are pleased to be able to support them whenever we can. All donations collected will be given to the hospital in the next few days.
